Spring, A Time for Renewal

I’ve been lax about going back to my exercise of walking 3-4 times a week in the morning. I can make excuses about the cold weather, not “feeling it” or some other flimsy thought I’ve had over the last few months when my alarm goes off and I roll over in bed and snuggle down to drift off again.

But when the alarm went off this morning, I took a look at the temperature, saw it was 56 degrees and hesitated for a moment as I pondered on why I’ve been making excuses not to do something I had enjoyed so much in the past. Instead, I got dressed, grabbed my stuff, plugged my earbuds in and left. I didn’t know how far I’d get, but as soon as I stepped out of the house, I took a deep breath of the fresh air and started my walk and noticed everything around me.

Spring is on its way early this year. All around me the grass is greener than usual in March, flowers are budding all over the place and the air smells fresher. The sun was shining brightly, I saw several people out taking their morning power walks and I just enjoyed myself in the moment.

By reconnecting with activities that bring me joy, I am not only renewing my spirit but also setting the stage for a more purposeful journey ahead. The anticipation of spring’s arrival fills me with renewed energy and enthusiasm, propelling me forward with intention and determination.

How about you?

How can you harness the energy of spring to embark on a journey of personal growth and transformation?
